There is literally nothing in nature that blooms all year long, so do not expect yourself to do so.

I’ve never been much for politics, but never have I ever seen such a clear distinction between right and wrong. #Love it!

@3 years ago with 5416 notesSorry but I’m not for the fast food wage increase. It’s one of those jobs that you usually end up in when you don’t go to college or life just fucks you over. $15/hr when people with masters don’t even make that much? For flipping burgers?
I’m pretty sure anyone with a Master’s degree who can’t manage to make more than $31,500 salary is probably being “fucked over” by life pretty hard, too. Like, even my Master’s in social work earns me more than that and has since I graduated. $31.5K is a pretty low salary range, even for people with bachelor’s degrees if they’re using the degree. I made $30K as a secretary…!
Beyond how totally uninformed this post is, I think it’s total bull to believe that I somehow am more deserving of a livable wage because I chose to take on $100K in debt and slaved away in bullshit liberal arts classes for 6 years. The whole idea that people who work in the fast food industry only “flip burgers” is ignorant, too. Shit’s hard work, on your feet all damn day, dealing with assholes. A college education is NOT A VIABLE OPTION FOR EVERYONE. It is NOT asking too much for people who cannot go to college to be able to make enough money hourly in order not to have to work 80 hours a week to afford a decent apartment for you and your family. Ugh. Treating people who work for minimum wage like trash is TRASHY.
